Call Of Duty: WAW Beta preload!

Error during initialization, unhandled expection caught

1- Go to Control Panel
2- The click on "Hardware and Sound"
3- Click on "Sound"
4- Doble click on "speakers"
5- go to the Advanced tab
6- Set the default format to "24 Bit, 48000 Hz (Studio Quality)"
7- Thats it!

Woo, i am on the PC beta aswell! Shame i don't have a pc.

I'll have to use crossover and play it.

The problem is that you guys are instantly comparing it to COD4. WAW is a lot of fun once you start lvling up and using squad tactics. Its great fun watching people take down tanks.

Pretty much the same as 4 tbh, spray a gun near someone and they die, get spawn raped, get raped by a tank, have 3 dogs jump on you, people camping.
 
Even if the multiplayer turns out to be not too special, I'll still probably buy this for the single player campaign :)
 
Just downloading from gamershell at 2mB/s (hopefully it works.). Wasn't really a fan of CoD4 MP however it was still worth the purchase as I played it a fair bit at first / SP was completely awesome. I'm hoping this is like what UO was to CoD1, UO was terrible, but it was still a good laugh (Online this is, SP was pretty good too)!
 
Its a really nice game and i cant see what the moaning is about. Its great to have rifles back to play the game with a bit of skill as you didnt need to have any in cod4. Yes the guns sound a bit funny but its a beta they could have toned down the sounds to make the dl smaller. Once everyone knows the maps and have a range of weapons i think this game will come into its own.

Even worse on the PC than the 360. Just seems like a really cheap and poor attempt at a game. Copied everything from COD4 and just pasted over a WWII theme over it.

Disappointing.
 
Treyarch did exactly the same thing with Call of Duty 1, and UO was quite highly rated review wise. I think people need to remember that this isn't really the "new" Call of Duty more just another developers interpretation of the same game :p
 
Think I'm done with it. Can't get over how terrible the gun sounds are, they sound like toys! This isn't and understatement either, they really do sound like toys!
