BBC Issue apology over Ross/Brand 'Prank'

No, the BBC site indicates that Friday Nights Jonathon Ross show on BBC 1 is canceled too.

To be honest, whilst Ross can be ok some of the time, I think Brand is a complete waste of broadcast time anyway and not funny at all.

Even though it was Ross who made the worst comments?

Sorry if its be mentioned before but I’m not a fan of Russell and I think that Ross is a grossly over paid talent less gimp. If I did a similar thing at work I would be escorted off the premises with my P45 in hand and I can not see why they should be able to get away with it.

That said the person who is ultimately responsible is the editor how gave the go ahead for this pre recorded programme to be aired, that person should lose their job.
However after seeing a publicity photo,

It would appear that she is not a young sweet innocent 6year old

Why does she want an apology from Russell Brand?

She should have kept her legs shut.

Yet another example of someone missing the whole point of the issues, her background, profession and whether she slept with Brand are all totally irrelevant. It doesn't give anyone the right to make the phone calls and leave the messages, it is illegal to use the phone system this way, simple as and end of.

For the phone calls to have been made is bad, to leave messages is worse, for the BBC to have allowed the broadcast is just amazing, to take 9 days to apologize is pathetic, to take 10 days to only suspend them is crap but I'm glad

If anyone in this thread made such a call to for example the father of an ex whom youd split up from, and they left a similar message you'd now be getting a new hole ripped in your backside by the police, no doubt about it, anyone who thinks otherwise is talking out of a backside thats wider than the grand canyon, Id suggest even making the call from your office landline and then seeing how many minutes your employees would allow you to stay on the premises

I bet they are going to replace film 2008 and John Ross's show with something
so offensive I feal I must rant.

It will be some reality show like filmstars 2008 where you can vote, for novice idiots acting out scenes from "popular" films.. I feal sick even imagining it..

The broadcasting I find offensive is this dribble targeted towards brainless morons, reality tv shows, decorating with mdf and the so heavily propaganda fixed bbc world news..

Don't know about talentless, surely earning millions a year is a talent... However I do think he is grossly overpaid, as are most "celebrities".

Why was Brand saying Harry Chrishner when they tried to ask him questions? Was that supposed to be funny?

I don't know if this has been mentioned but they actually talked about the granddaughter and Sachs in the previous show when David Baddiel was on, he was round at Brands house and saw Sachs granddaughter and she said something along the lines of Don't tell my grandad you saw me here, then the very next week they have Sachs on the show, pretty obvious it was going to be referred to in some fashion.

BBC suck so much it's unbelievable! Such nerds! 18,000 people complain, what dweeb honestly sits down and rights a complaint about a show that they listen to - for free!!!!!

Hare Krishner is something todo with a religion/cult I'm pretty sure..

Brand has allways quoted this for years. - It was a great thing to say as he walked to his car, All the reporters pretty much stopped.. calmed down, thought wtf..

It's pretty hard to stop a pack of rabid reporters at the best of times.. That impressed me.. just confuse the hell out of them.

Yep as soon as i heard he was coming on i knew it would come out, it was only a matter of time. I didn't think it would cause this much of a cuffufle though!

They probably didn't listen though I bet most just read about it and decided to complain I think they received 2 complaints when it first broadcast.

Er it's not free it's paid for by licence fee payers.

The whole thing is ridiculous and blown completely out of proportion. Why is the prime minister commenting? Why does everyone case so much? Who cares, really! Find something better to do with your lives.
