Cod5 PC Beta... kicked???

Ok, so to my annoyance today when i was doing awesomely well on cod5 pc beta i got kicked or something & i'm wondering why as i aint a cheater & don't glitch or anything like that!

basically this came up:

Anyone shed any light into what this is?
I swas extremely annoying as i was 30 kills ahead of the nearest person... my best game ever probably... :mad:

I think he was sort of saying "You're surprised you got kicked from a beta server?" or something along those lines.

This sort of thing is to be expected.

They were testing if they could easily kick people. It seems it works.

i know what a beta is, i was just wondering if it was something else that was the problem... a simple you can expect this sort of thing from betas would have been perfectly fine!!! DOH!!! :rolleyes:

Me and two friends got it simultaneously before, and I have never experienced it in CoD4. I've had it four times today in the beta.

The quote wasn't directed towards you.

I posted it because the way Devil_Spawn posted, highlighting the word Beta led me to believe it wasn't a term or concept that was familiar to them, possibly.

It could have meant that, or it may have meant that they were referring to the fact that it is actually a beta test and server tuning for a new version may well result in players being kicked because of technical issues.

I suggest you get your sarcasm detector serviced, because from where I'm sitting it looks like it's faulty.

Hey, no worries.

Never taken part in an open beta, I would assume being kicked from a server during this was par for the course.

Last closed beta I took part in was a while back and was for Day of Defeat : Source.

Server issues were tested inside out on various different servers, mostly the CoJ ( Crowbars of Justice ) ones as well as the Dev teams own at Valve.

It can be very interesting, beta testing, but to really help out the development of the game it takes a lot of time and effort to iron out as many bugs as possible. Which I guess is why a lot of beta's these days are open ones.
