If you are having problems launching Far Cry 2 or Fallout 3 due to a SecuROM error relating to the presence of emulation tools, and you have disabled such tools and still get the error, you can download this fix directly from SecuROM.

Just an update on this SecuROM Fix it makes Alcohol 120% work so i guess that is one good thing.

Good to know it's fixed. SecurROM is what made me decide to purchase FC2 over steam rather than retail as I have emulation tools installed which I need for work.

According to tweak guides its an update to secureROM itself....so the one on that page should work I would have thought.

I think it just replaces the games .exe file....so it might work...dunno though.

No i just clicked on the exe. file and it said "App failed to start because Dunia.dll was not found."

...So backup your original .exe somewhere and put it in there

Odd, Far Cry 2 and FO3 both never said a thing about daemon tools which I always have enabled...

Still well done for fixing the thing, it's retarded that you can't run a game just because alcohol 120% is installed :eek:

But then you won't be able to play them online. (not played them so I don't know if there even IS an online mode)

Call Of Duty 2 was the best for this, separate EXEs for single and multiplayer, so you could run the singlepalyer without a disc and multiplayer with one.

You can play mp with an up to date cracked .exe just as well in 90% of the games... It only checks the cd key it doesn't really check all the files over if they are genuine...

FO3 has no mp...
