...Well I do.

I had to endure it yesterday. Crowded and full of idiots. Why call it a personal stereo if everyone can hear it? Although it was the first time I have heard someone refer to their "mama" (they pronounced it mamarrrr). :D

Don't use it then. It remains, despite what a lot of people say and think, as one of the most reliable modes of transport around. It's very flexible and as much as you'd hate to accept it, very reliable. The days of delayed trains are now over. Not to say delays do not occur, they do, but no as much as the 90s. There has been a great improvement. However, should you have any suggestions to improve the Tube, please e-mail TFL. Cheers. :)

Haha, what's up your ***?

As great as it may be, I agree with the OP; everytime I have been on the tube I have literally been squeezed in. It's not a very nice place to be.

However, with the such great volume of people to transport about, there aren't many viable alternatives!

SPOT THE UNDERGROUND EMPLOYEE!

I love the tube, alright its a bit dirty and crowded sometimes but Id love to know another way, other than personal helicopter to get around London that quickly.

It's pretty much the standard opinion of most non-Londoner (i used to be one!) but after you've lived in London and endured the traffic you begin to realise how convenient it really is.

I use it daily and think it's fantastic. I use the northern line and it's packed maybe once or twice a week and rarely delayed. This is me getting on from London Bridge to either Old Street or Camden at 7.30am and at 5.45pm ish. Never a problem :)

Use it every day and is brilliant. Amazing how they can transfer so many people during rush hour. You always get idiots pressing the emergency stop button for minor things creating backlogs.

I've had to use it a lot recently. I have to say it's fantastic. The trains come every few minutes, they get you where you're going bloody fast. Okay they're a bit smelly and crowded during rush hour, but name a method of public transportation that isn't.

I have to say I think the tube is probably the best public transport I've ever used. Hardly any delays and yes, it can be packed and hot at rush hour but London is home to over 7 million people and the countless who all come in and out of London on a daily basis.

I like the tube, even when it's crowded. And yes I have been on the Waterloo & City in rush hour...

One thing I of found funny recently was when some woman was getting off at charing cross and didn't listen to the announcements about the last set of doors not opening. she quickly hurried to the next exit, deciding to rush out of the carriage backwards with the pushchair and baby after her. It was this point the doors closed while the pushchair was mid way through and she went in to a state of panic while two other people rushed to try and pull the doors apart.
Thing is the train will never go with the doors wedged open, and two people pulling on the doors is very unlikely to have much effect. I don't know if the button works to stop the doors closing but you'd think they'd try that rather than pulling on them.

Also Michael McIntyre has some good thoughts on the tube.. on youtube :)

Ditto to all the rest - I much prefer the tube to any other mode of public transport. It's much better than say, the NYC metro system, which is less frequent, more crowded and more complex as well, imo.
