Basically, meat costs LOADS! I have decided to stop buying it and get more beer instead, because although still expensive, it is a necessary.

I've heard of this cult/religion that don't eat meat out of principal, i believe they call themselves vegetarians. I have also heard however, that they are often scrawny and ugly.

Is there a safe way to remove meat from your diet that doesn't include the side effects?

In all seriousness though, what vitamins and minerals will i be missing out on?

Don't be a bloody pansy. You need red meat or else you'll turn into a wuss.

Red Meat = +1 Alpha Maleness

Don't get me wrong, when I'm home i will be demanding all the red meat i can from mum when she goes shopping. But I'm pretty sure beer > meat in terms of man points!

get a whole chicken and that will last you days, get loads of meals out of it and still enough for a few cans

I have been a vegetarian for years and its not that bad. I just eat like I would if I was a meat eater but replace meat with quorn(well cheapo asda type quorn mostly). I just take a vitamin tablet a day and I am fine.

Whole chicken, sausages, tescos cheaper bacon. Look for deals too.

You'll end up eating a wider variety of vegetables than you do now and you'll get all smelly because of it.

I for one would be utterly lost with a whole chicken.

It's easy. Just roast the bugger and eat that. When you've eaten a meal's worth, tear the rest to bits. Get stuck in with a decent knife and you'll get loads of meat off it. All the meat off it can then be used for other meals - risotto, curry, stir fry, etc. Boil the carcass to make some stock and then use that as a base for soup. That should be well on the way to 3 or 4 meals right there.
