Thats it. This country has finally lost its marbles

Pftt how sad can people get, easily offended people shouldnt watch top gear. starting to look like a witch hunt towards the bbc because they tried to complain about mock the week at the back end of last week too.
Is this country turning into a whiney nation or what.............. :(

Agreed^

I do not understand people complaining about things they watch or hear in the media. The wonderful thing about this country is that you have a choice whether or not to watch or listen to something. If you don't like it, don't listen to it, or go and listen to something else.

Some of the music played on radio stations offends my ears but i don't complain about it, i change channel or put a CD on

Taking a step back.....

Just out of curiosity does the BBC own the right to Top Gear (as a names etc....). Because i dont care what channel it is on so long as i get to watch it, same goes for the johnathan ross / brand stuff.

Just stuff the BBC full of reality strictly come dancing **** and move all comedy else where (i know this isnt an ideal solution, we paid so should get to watch programs etc.... but i would prefer to watch the show in full not some edited carp)

It's the pathetic idiots who sit there and watch a film entitled "House of Murdering Sociopathic Butchers" and then complain to the broadcaster about the violence it contained that really get me going.

It's the same here, these people know exactly what Top Gear, and Jezza, are about yet still sit there with their hands wringing in the laps just itching to pick the phone up and vent their pathetic spleen.

Andrew Tinkler, CEO of Eddie Stobart Group, said: “They were just having a laugh. It’s the 21st Century, let’s get our sense of humour in line.”

The Lorryists forums are claiming the RHA should focus on 'real issues' such as forigners, fuel price, forigners and the economy. :D

Hey 'vroom vroom' simulator man and easyrider who so vociferously supported the Brand Ross debacle. I'm guessing you both are not joining this mob (500+ and rising) but hope you can now recognise the problem with the media dictating public opinion. Maybe joking about murdered prostitutes outrages you less than leaving messages on answer machines.

Couldn't give a frap about Brand... I think he's a tool and I've never found a single joke of his funny. When he appeared on HIGNFY everyone was cringing at him.

Clarkson can be a tool when he decides to be, but he's also funny at times and has done some decent TV.

Jonathon Ross is a decent presenter too.

But this is all in-line with our ever-present march towards becoming the USA v2. Everything about our society is more and more mimmicking them. It won't be complaining about TV programmes next, it'll be suing the broadcaster for damages.

Utterly pathetic waste of time and resources. These people who just troop round looking for things to be offended by just need to be rounded up and dispensed of at Sizewell B. The "offense" culture of late is one of the many cancers of society, closely followed by the compo culture and the "equal rights for everyone" culture.

Good thing I'm just about done with life at my age, couldn't bear to think about just starting life these days. Make of that what you will.

FFS!!!!!

"It's making light of murder," said English Collective of Prostitutes (ECP) spokeswoman Cari Mitchell. "It's an absolute disgrace -- he should lose his job. The people who allowed this programme to go out have to be called to account.

"I think it's a sacking offence to make light of murder of anybody, never mind prostitute women who are vulnerable and criminalised."

thats just LOL

If you are not able to see the difference on your own, I doubt anybody here is going to be able to explain it to you, so its probably best you dont take any further part in the discussion as its only going to go over your head. :)

Do you have to pay a licence fee?

I don't know, don't think so, all I know is we get (payed for) cable and in the +- 40 channels there's bbc 1 and 2... I just know my parents have to pay monthly to get stuff on cable...

Of the about 40 channels, half are foreign, eg. German, English, French, etc...

@atpbx

So wait, no one could explain the difference apart from yourself? Please enlightened one, indulge me with your wisdom and I'll try and see if I can comprehend your great words.

Don't drive a lorry do you?

It's not quite that simple I'm afraid, many girls are forced into it. It's not quite as simple as what you want to believe and to say they loose all their rights is just ridiculous.

I said they didn't deserve respect...I said nothing about losing all their rights. Try reading my post before putting words in my mouth.

However...forced or otherwise makes no odds to me, it is a degrading trade that shouldn't even exist let alone have groups who are entitled to complain about someone who at the end of the day holds a legit tax paying job.
