Parking Ticket......Victory?! *Update*
Hey guys unfortunately I got a parking ticket the other night
booo!
Anyways It was a carpark usually run by the council and since it was after 6pm (8pm when I parked) i thought its cool to use it! Unfortunately this space had been taken over by the NCP which I never noticed!
Anyways I have a parking ticket, I went to try and pay it online today and the number and registration combo would not work,
I was! So I decided I would give the number on the back of the ticket a ring and try that way incase the details hadnt been uploaded yet, so I type in the ticket number.....
"this ticket belongs to the car registration number S954 SVP"
I quickly hung up as it is not my registration number, they have the 9 where there should be a letter. Now obviously if they punch that registration number into their system it wont come up with my car, hell it wont come up with any car surely?!
Anyways have I got away with this as surely the wrong registration number would mean the ticket becomes invalid? What would I have to do next if that is the case?
Cheers
*UPDATE*
So I called them today, general customer enquires, told her what the problem was......she lol'd! Anyways she then put me through to the appropriate department who informed me that I was to photocopy the slip and send it down to them and they would cancel the ticket as this was an error on their part!
I would obviously like confirmation it has been done however so would it be wise to put my address as a return address on the letter?
*UPDATE*
Canceled
Cheers,
John
