I dont see why this is such a big problem - Spie the db owner so would have all the rights to see the data - youve said so as part of applying for an user account.Except your choice to read peoples private votes.

People are posting into his database, if it was that damn private they shouldn't have voted, it is obvious that the owner of the DB will have access to the results.
