Some of his work was good, thought the best was Timeline.

Just goes to show whats news worthy these days he dies nothing mentioned, wannabe x-factor muppet has a hair cut its headlines. :rolleyes:

just read this and had to post here.... loved his books read JP then went back for more. Just finished Airframe gripping novel and loved timeline.

So sad Richard Laymon a few years ago and now Crichton

Very sad news

Big fan and have almost all his books. Timeline was always my favourite, shame the film remake wasn't great.

He only wrote 3 episodes of that, he created it and then let a team of writers to do their thing. It is still a brilliant show though.

Never read any of his books but was a big fan of most of the films versions, Andromeda Strain is fantastic and much overlooked.
