Is it going to be one of those games that everyone gets hyped up and its a week's fad online , all the excitement. Give it a few more weeks and nobody really talks about it?

I reckon it's got a lot of longevity in it given that you can play as infected too.. If it was only as survivors it might get older quicker...
 
i think i may wait and try the demo if it is actually out on tuesday. just to see if its my sort of game. im not normally into the whole shoot zombies/monsters. but this game almost looks like it plays out like a film eg, 28 days later or something.

lol, have you even played it? L4D aint an online fad. Its here to stay for a very long time.

Might try this tonight!
 
I have just pre-purchased it but now steam says i need to update steam to install the demo.. then it restarts and says the same thing. I have even tried downloading the client again from steam but now it says cannot connect to steam.. Boooo! wanted to play this tonight.

mmmm...tried removing the .blob files?

In your STEAM directory normally...I only ever deleted the ClientRegistry.blob file when I had trouble with Steam.

Sometimes fixes thing's.

Back it up somewhere first and rename it for obvious reasons.
