Only thing is, it say available for release on the 21st November. I just looked on Steam and it said it is available on the 18th November.

Is this right ? Do I have to wait even longer for not buying it for £34 on Steam ?

Probably...Think I have to wait for ages for mine as well....But I'll live.

How do the keys work anyway? Do you have to pretend to purchase or something? Cause at the minute I can't download the demo untill the early hours anyway :p
 
Yes, I clicked and clicked on the link to play the demo and nothing happened. In the end I went into Steam and went GAMES - ACTIVATE A PRODUCT and popped my demo key in. Started downloading then.

It's 3:45am PST now. You got another 11 hours to go, bucko. Like I said earlier, it's a November 12th release for us Europeans.

It is literally a 00:00 release for us.

Yeah just checked...3pm there time is something like 11pm/12midnight.

Which sucks...wish I could pre-load it fgs =/
 
When Crysis Warhead was placed on Steam, they promised to unlock the game at 00:00. It didn't unlock till 00:30. So be mindful that there may be minor delays. Personally it's not worth staying up for on a Tuesday night!

I've already got it and been playing it happily for days. But some cheap skate friends of mine have ~11 hours to go until they experience awesomeness in the form of a game. :D

Anyway PATCH below

Updates to Left 4 Dead Demo have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:

Left 4 Dead Demo
Tuned matchmaking to provide better search results
Added UI to host a game on a local server
Improvements and performance optimizations to network layer
Improved handling of unsupported graphics hardware
Fixed a rare crash when kicking people from lobby
Fixes for demo exploits
Localization fixes
Increase automatic port range when running a Linux dedicated server with -fork

Wasn't this done last thursday when it the fan for all demo users?
 
Had a witch, tank, boomer and hunter all in the same bit last night. The "room" at the end of the last train just below the area with all the pillars right up before the generators. That was fun. We all died though.
