Agreed and it's the only right choice for this kind of budget. 9800GTX+ worths only half of its price. Conclusively, nVidia is doing very bad in sub-200quid market. 4850 and 4870 win every battles against 9800gtx+ and gtx260 65nm. And most importantly, they are even cheaper and clockable.
Wish I could find one for that price. I've only found one place selling it for that much and they charged £15 for delivery.
True! it's possible 3 months ago for that price before the credit crunch hits sterling Pounds. All prices of hardwares are decreasing on dollars but increasing on Pounds at the moment. How annoying!
Looking on one American site, the GTX260 can be had for $239, or $199 with a rebate. It's pretty much a 'swap the $ for a £' symbol in today's market. Argh. Stupid fail economy.

Oh well bought a 4870 now.
good choice, it was really worth stretching up your budget a bit...
But he really needs to overclock the 4870 to relish its true power cos GDDR5 only does a little favour for 4870 to run pass 4850. It's the core speed makes the difference!
