***OFFICAL*** Left 4 Dead Thread!

Aww, i got mine on pre-order with a retail store so probably wont be seeing it for another week atleast.

Had an awesome game on the demo last night though, with some guys off here.

Is the netcode god awful for anyone else or just me? Haven't had a lag free game since i've downloaded it, every other online game (including source ones) plays just fine, yet this doesnt.

Yep, i remember, that was me ! haha.

It was a good laugh when it worked for everyone. Extreme last night was complete madness, almost impossible actually !

It's ridiculous sometimes...Really weird.

For some reason when it changed levels I got a connection issue..first time I've had it actually, so it just gave up after about 30 seconds of trying to connect.

It's probably cause of all the pre-loading going on.

I should really get a mic from somewhere as well....it would help...My old ones gone missing =/

I beleive expert mode adjusts to the players skill levels. So if were flying round owning house, its just gunna throw more and more at us. As demonstrated numerous times last night, lol !

Ive read somewhere that connection issues experianced when loading the 2nd level are related to the rates. I had the same problem and changed my rates to 30000, havent had a problem since.

You just changed the 'rate' ? Not anything else like the cl_update rate one etc?
 
I'm bored of the demo already, seemed too boring playing the same thing over again, is that a bad thing? Would I be making a mistake buying the full game?
