***OFFICAL*** Left 4 Dead Thread!

Damn. I was mere seconds away from the helicopter on the rooftop of mercy hospital. Louis lay dead somewhere, and Zoey had been knocked to the floor during the run to the helipad. I didn't care. I ran, me and Bill taking on the hordes, until those last few steps. We get seperated, and out of nowhere comes a tank, knocking me to the floor. I can see Bill desperately fighting off a new wave, before the Tank finishes me off, the helicopter fleeing into the night with no one onboard.

Immense game :D

A game really hasnt ever had me as immersed as that hospitol roof top did, we were all on the very top of the building that had the health etc in it, 2 tanks running circles around us, hordes flying in left right and center, 2 men died before we even got off that building

as i jumped into the chopper i got puked on by a boomer and got away, really intense stuff! :D

Same sort of thing happened with the farm one, but literally JUST as i was jumping in the APC a smoker dragged me away :(

I'll try not to say too much so i don't spoil anyone elses experiance but maaaan this game is so damn good

Was playing on the finale on bloodharvest with some uni block mates and we managed to survive in the house when the apc arrived. so we all legged it outta a window to try get to it, we were all on about 75% health.

Straight away when we left the house a hunter pounced one of us, then a boomer puked on another and he got downed by the horde. Me and another thought screw it and tried legging it to the apc shooting the hordes behind us while running backwards to the apc.

I was a bit ahead and suddenly a tank appeared and knocked my mate away, i made it to the apc trying to give him some cover fire from there. He was just about to make it to the apc when a smoker grabs him and pulls him away :p was a class moment.

Totally loving this game although had to stop playing it a while to work on an essay :(

RIP - Bill, Louis, Zoey :p
 
I always go for the run away and wait till its beating one of your team mates to a pulp option then come behind it and start auto shottying it in the back from close range
 
OKay guys - got the retail copy through today and went to install, however upon entering the product key I get the message 'Invalid Product code'. Now I have double, treble, quadruple and more, checked it and I have put it in right.

Anyone else had this?

I am thinking that it may be because officially the retail copy is not released yet and so that may be why it is not working.

Anyone else have any idea? Just want to know whether I need to ring someone and start shouting.

I'd take that route

Made sure no o's are 0's? lol and vice versa, same for S's and 5's (depends what font the key is in really, might not be an issue, i got it off steam so never needed one)
 
if you log into STEAM you can activate a product just by CD key, then you can probably even download it ?
 
ummmmm cough... ahem.. sorted now. Turns out I should have checked it more throughly for a 15th time instead of stopping at 14.

Hey - it has been a tough day and my staff have been pi33ing me off! Grrrrr seriously - why do they release these guys from school without an education?.... anyway, something for the general discussion thread I think.

Off to shoot zombies!
