Worst car you have driven this year?

makes me want to move, mmm clean streets, green grass and a sky thats not grey!

obviously not for the car

Fiat Ducato van (2007)... needed a crowbar to change gear. Surprisingly spritely though.

The automatic 1.6 Astra I bought for my mum a few months ago. It's a perfectly decent car despite the glacial acceleration but dull in every conceivable way.

Hard to decide between the two....

Saxo 1.1 east coast - checking it out for a friend.

coming from the CSL if felt dangerous, brakes did sod all, accelerator did even less when speed was above 40mph! clutch felt horrible, gearchange was porridge!

whenever i drive a car like that it reminds me very clearly why my car is worth the money!

Nissan Navara Automatic....so much body roll in the corners, you could actually slide off your seat. And whoever designed the "i dont like anything but second gear" gearbox should be shanked in the spine.

Probably a 1.4 petrol Modus I had as a courtesy car when mine was in for a service. Wasn't a bad car but was the worst I've driven this year.

A 1994 Frontera Sport (!) 2.0L petrol with oversized mud tyres. It also had a tendency to judder and pull left... Not a fun experience at all. The sad part of this story is I bought it to stop my dog messign up my 5er. I promptly sold it after 3 months and bought a discovery 1 instead - miles better!

My sister's 1.2 punto...thank god I had a fiesta for my first car!

Pug 106 D when my leon was being serviced, god awfuly slow but ran on fumes so win!

My bosses Civic. Not sure on engine size but its a 4 door 53 plate.

Hate everything about it and only had to drive it a small distance. Also had to drive a 01 plated Celica and really didn't like that either.

Citroen 2CV,

Brakes - felt like wooden blocks rubbing on the wheel rims

Accelerator - the car is an A-reg, and was around 34bhp when brand new! planting my foot literally did nothing.

Gear Change - It doesn't have a gear stick, just some strange lever that you pull and twist poking from the dash. Selecting gears reminded me of a lucky dip (luckily there is a picture on the dashboard indicating the general area you might find the gear you want).

Steering - had to anticipate corners and steer well before them to counter the general tyre, chassis and suspension flex.

Body roll - going round even the mellowest of corners had me fighting against falling out of the seat.

Weather proofing - it was raining, I constantly got dripped on through the canvas roof (with multiple repair patches might I add)

Noise - This particular car had no silencer on the exhaust, and the pipe poked out from the engine bay so was extremely loud in the passenger compartment.

Indicators - Didn't cancel themselves

Lights - worse than a modern car with 1 headlight working in sidelight setting.

Creature comforts - heater seemingly did nothing, no radio. Windows open up and outwards like a flap, going round a corner would occasionally see that the windows opened themselves and flapped wildly in the wind.

Windscreen wipers - on or off. 'on' was barely fast enough to clear light drizzle.

But I'm told by the owner "it's very economical"

A 1.4 TDCI Fiesta i rented in the south of spain 2months ago, my god that car was horrendous! Firrst roundabout i tried to accelerate out of in 3rd did absolutely jack all. The interior wasn't the worst i'd been in but the seats ! They were something else...

The worst car I have driven this year, and in fact for the last 5 years, is my POS Vauxhall Corsa Sport 1.4 which has grinding gears, faded paint, and is juts generally ****!

I want a BMW Z4 :(

My Corsa that I drive each day, but the only thing I have to compare it against is a friends a3 I drove a few years back when I was thinking of upgrading. lol
