I'm not on the M4, I'm in a town in Somerset, and the only reason I've gone down the Audi route this far is as it's the only other car that has met my criteria every time as I've limited myself by not wanting a BMW. I'm not after everyone agreeing with my choice of car, I'm asking for advice from people who have driven other cars or have some insight into other choices I might be missing due to wearing my Generic Audi A4 Blinkers. I'm open to BMW if you can show me something that might pique my interests rather than just mentioning a 330i (that's not a dig at anyone by the way, that's what everyone around here has suggested)

What exactly did you expect when you came on saying 'I really like 200bhpish Audi A4's'. Are you honestly suprised that the first recommendation was, OMG, a 200bhpish BMW 3 Series?

Come on, it was hardly a Ford Transit recommendation in a Spec Me a Supermini thread.

Have you thought about something like a Renault Avantime or a Dacia Logan? You'd be the only guy in your street with one. I mean ok, strictly speaking they are crap, but you'd be different and thats all that matters! You could get your face peirced on the way back from the dealer as well :cool:

Accepting compromise to be 'different' is the way forward! :cool:

No, I was however expecting perhaps some more information than that though, as I have said twice. You're a knowlegable chap, as are lots of you.
I also didn't say I like 200 BHP A4s, I merely mentioned that they fulfill my criteria and asked for suggestions other than a 330i :) Got out of the wrong side of bed today :p

Thanks for mentioning the 350Z, I hadn't thought of those :)

Need to find a happy medium then! Cut and shut 330i/A4 would be perfect:D.
 
To be honest with this sort of car, it's either a 330 or an A4 2.0T/3.2. Pick the one you like best and buy it. Neither are bad cars.

The only thing I can think of that's similar to an A4 with similar amounts of power/luxuries is a Golf GTI or Merc C320. If your looking at a Golf then obviously look at the rest of the VAG range. Octy vRS, Leon Cupra etc.


Go out and drive them, then decide.
