I think the Veyron was astonishing - it fared pretty much how I expected. Absolutely no drama - looked like your nan could have been driving it. Yet, nearly 1900kg moved around a track as quick as anything short of a CCX and Zonda F once you discount Gumpert and co! I would think it to be the fastest car on the roads - unquestionably.
 
Topgear back on form? Really enjoyed tonights ep, even the "race." The noise the Zonda makes is just awesome! Not overly supprised by the time set by the Veyron, only thing I find interesting is that if it had set a lap when released it would have been easily quickest. Lardy old car!
 
What was impressive was that drag race, the Zonda was going backwards. The Veyron is massively ahead in terms of straight line speed. Just goes to show though, you can't overcome sheer weight.

Well, I think it was a case of the Top Gear test track being too tight for the heavy Veyron to really shine... still a mightily impressive car!

Was impressed with the complete lack of drama the car showed despite putting down nearly 1000bhp...
 
To be fair I also was thinking... damn that girls cute. Not amazing but cute none the less. Very impressed by the jag.

The Jag did well, looks like a great engine (for a diesel ;)). The bigger engine didn't matter too much I guess as most was sat at 60-70mph where it was probably just ticking over compared to higher RPM with the smaller diesels.

Anyone know how big the tank was in it though (in litres)?

I knew that Veyron wouldn't be the fastest, it's too big and heavy for that small track, give it a big oval or something for it to pick up speed and yes.

Superb episode.

And the girl to the right of Harry was gorgeous :o

Its called filling time while TG is crap - seems to be happening often this series...
