Call of Duty: World at War

getting frustrated with Domination, usually i get stuck on a team that doesn't know how to play it properly :(

Other than that I'm still enjoying it, although i'm still rubbish - i just laugh at people when they mention my KD ratio, so what? who cares? it's a frigging game, enjoy it for what it is (besides, play Domination, War or CTF a lot (properly) and you wont have a "good" KD).

Oh and spawning was ok in the Beta but they have obviously taken out the most basic check, "are there any enemies in the immediate area?" I've lost count of the number of times I've respawened in the middle of the opposite team :(

it's 14:26 does anyone want to play some zombies?
I havnt completed it so will need someone who has.

Ive just played bout an hour of S+D. Is it just me or is that game mode really boring?? Couldnt get into it at all. Im sure people play it to just rack up the points as its 50xp per kill.

Ive not tired SD in HC mode, TD in HC mode was again a camp fest, everytime killed by a sniper rifle :(

I am not much of a fan of this on normal mode but I am loving HC!

HC balances everything out. Lag is not as much of an issue, the weapons are all perfect, (Rifles one shot kill which is great for distance but get beaten by SMGs at short range) which is how it should be.

S&D seems better as well, not as much spawn camping or random grenades / noob tubes.

Whether this is just because its new or the maps are designed better I don't know but I was surviving past the first few seconds on nearly every game.

This game really promotes team work a lot more than COD4 ever did. You stand a much better chance working in pairs where as COD4 running around on your own was just as easy.

I think the lack of noobs and random grenades is due to the map designs removing choke points and also the pure size of them means you can throw a grenade that far - Well on some maps anyway. On the smaller ones I still got random grenaded.

Last night was good though, enjoyed it and deffo working in pairs is the way forward. one with bomb squad means you can spot bouncing bettys too.

Party chat also makes it a lot easier, although I think we did well just shutting up and letting the guy left get on with it - but using third person view to help spot things ;)

lol, me and faded last night,
"You have on in your sights now Wiggis"
"Where?"
(Turns around)
BANG!
"DOH!"

:D
You looked right at him, bang in the middle of the sight, I was wondering why you hadn't pulled the trigger.
I got an amazing shot in with the M1 (no scope) last night, right across the map on Seelow, and thats not exactly a small map ;)

Up to relentless on Veteran.

Thinking of dropping to Regular though and then coming back after I complete it. Will the complete veteran achievement still work? I made this mistake on COD3

Well finally completed it on my offline profile and then completed Downfall on Xbox Live thinking that would be enough:( obviously I was wrong and now have to complete the game again.
