DS, games for GF?

Hi All,

Possibly going to get my gf a DS this xmas.

What games would you reccomend for girls?

Also what is the brain training game to get?

don't get brain training, get brain academy IIRC , its got a little fella in a graduation hat like you would wear at uni, theres a version on the WII aswell.

Anyway good little game

MY GF has enjoyed hotel dusk, the brain training one above, sims 2

Nintendogs and Animal Crossing would probably be preffered however Super Mario Bros and Mariokart are also awesome games my sister loves playing them.

Dr.Kawashimas Brain training is the best out of the brain training games.

DS Lite Pink with Nintendogs Labrador and High School Musical 3

I think that could be a good start for her new DS? Keep her busy whilst i play l4d on my new pc monitor she is buying me

My girlfriend really likes Trauma Centre, the Phoenix Wright games and, bizarrely, Advance Wars.

It's hard to generalise for 50% of the population though.

Not knocking Big Brain Academy, but Brain Training is a quality little game.

personal taste really, I found the academy to be more pick up and play, you can have competitions as you do a 5 minute test and it will give you a grade

With these brain training games - are you able to play it when you want? As I have heard that you can only do so much a day to get a true reading of improvement?

My mum wants to get a DS for a brain training game but is put off by what I have heard about only being able to play it for a certain amount of time each day. The 5 minute tests you are talking about, can you do these when you want?
