:rolleyes: I work hard and am never idle. its not hard to see how having lazy people not clear their tables is annoying. People piling there food onto there trays is not so bad, but those who dump stuff everywhere is annoying. You wouldn't do that in any other cafe or restaurant.

Used to bin it, don't any more. A high percentage of people working at McDonalds are uni students, and I hate the attitude of most of the uni students in my area. Similar to [TW]Fox, they have a lot of theories about life and how it works but no practical application, yet persist to pass it off as some kind of written fact. It irritates me. The more work I can get them to do out of getting and googling their coursework the better.

McDonald's is not a proper restaurant. There are bins there and the idea is to use them. They would not be everywhere if that was not the idea.

See i disagree with this argument too, my reasoning behind not clearing up is absolutely nothing to do with the demographic of the workforce. It is nothing to do with respect, it is everything to do with the fact that it is a restaurant. Out of courtesy i will pile it all up neatly on my tray, i don't feel that i should have to do that, but i am not an arse - i can see they are busy.

Ah so whether or not you leave rubbish behind thus annoying the people who have to use the table after you depends on whether or not the employees fall into one of your approved categories of people?

To use the example above, you dont take the glass back to the bar at a pub when you are finished, or take the plates through to the dishwasher in an indian, fast food restaurants are no different.

Actually i do take my empty glass to the bar when i leave - yes you may think its the staffs job to clear away and once again it may be part of their duties but who ( even those that dont bin the rubbish) enjoy sitting at a table full of rubbish untill a member of staff is available to clear it when all the previous person had to do was put their rubbish in the bin on the way out.

I bin it unless I have found something about the visit I didn't like e.g. no manners / thick staff, had to wait too long, I had to clear the table when I got there.

I had a similar outlook when I used to take my baby into a restaurant. If everything was good I would make sure there was no discarded food on the floor and try and tidy it up a bit before leaving. If not, they could pick it up themselves.

Outside of the premises it is 100% unacceptable to leave rubbish of any kind even if there is no bin.
