My Googling Skills have failed me, can anyone help me find some companies who have they're production overseas - trying to help out with a piece of coursework.

Dyson is one but can't be used and i found Cobra Beer but they recently moved back to the UK for production - they need to still be operating overseas.

Any help appreciated.

Nike is a good one, Primark too... (indonesia/china and brasil respectivly i think)

A good one is guinness as the do it in Gahna too :D (best fact on the tour) though its still done in Dublin too.....

One rubbish one is coke as thats produced locally everywhere (so though its done in india and poisening water supplies, theres a factory in Milton Keynes and even one up here in NI which every school child up here has been to apparently)

i can name you a couple where i have worked and currently work. one is a global transmission manufacturing company based in germany, but has UK operations (re-manufacturing to a certain degree rather than manufacturing, most of the production line stuff comes from across the world - germany, poland, china etc) - www.zf.com

the other where i currently work is a danish valve company which has manufacturing plants in the uk and in europe/the world. in fact, most of the sector has (although is sometimes reluctant to reveal where the stuff comes from), some of the companies in the sector include Saint Gobain Pipelines, Viking Johnson, Tyco and Danfoss Socla.

all have local offices but source their product from around the world.

hope that helps (if it even answers your question!)

Bernard Matthews, they hatch the eggs here and ship the birds to Hungary for growing on where they are slaughtered and then brought back here for processing. Those Turkeys have more air miles than me!

Just remember that a lot of this companies don't handle the manufacturing themselves. The factories and the workers are employed by third parties. For example, Apple uses Foxconn for a lot of their production.

HP sauce is now made in the Netherlands. There was a big fuss about production moving out of the UK after Heinz bought it.

Rowntrees produce abroad too. Pretty much every clothing company does as I found out when I visted Turkey.

Depends if your after companies where their sole production is overseas.

Does Dell count since they are based in Ireland?
