Resident Evil 5 Demo Coming Next Week

Quick Guide to Getting Japanese 360 Gold:

* Go here: http://www.passport.net/
* Sign up a new account, Click "No, sign me up for a free MSN Hotmail e-mail address"
* Pick JAPAN for your country, pick Tokyo-to as your Prefecture 150-2345 for your zipcode
* Keep going, and then have it set you up with a @hotmail.com address.
* Go to your 360, and create a new profile. Log in using your hotmail address on your 360, and it should set it to Japan.
* If this is less than your 4th trial account you get gold free, so select yes when it asks you. (the RE5 demo requires Gold standing)

How to actually download the demo via Japanese Xbox LIVE Marketplace:

* Login to your Japanese Gold account
* Once logged in press the xbox button in the middle of your controller to bring up the "old" dashboard
* Navigate to the market place tab, then go to Game Marketplace
* From Game Market place navigate all the way down to ALL GAMES
* Then from ALL GAMES. Then go to "ALL" (instead of trying to understand japanese alphabet). Then just scroll through all the games until you get to BioHazzard 5 (it should be 270 of 40
* Once you get to BioHazzard 5, the first screen should say "Get Demo" and viola you are downloading the demo. Should be like 472 MBs.
 
Dang. Used up all my five accounts so cant get a free month :(

EDIT: Just tried and it worked. Had 5 profiles on my 360 already. Didn't think it would work! Yay.

No sign of the demo on Japanese PSN. :(

Unless the PSN demo comes later which would be a drag.

downloading now, im surprised microsoft didn't region block it after the ninja gaiden black 2 incident.
 
Anybody got a japan account they would be Kind enough to let me recover!? I just set up a jap account but I seem to have used all my free trials :(

If not I'll be more than willing to share the one i've just set up in a week when the demo is available to silver members! :)

Maybe we can set up a kind of ocUK community account!?
 
i don't mind but for some reason its not letting me download it.

I followed the guide and get a "The item isn't available from your current location" even though I have a Japanese Gold account (as per the instructions)

Just download it from the net.

Step 1. extract the rar contents to a folder...

Step 2. Create a folder called " Content" , then another folder inside that called " 0000000000000000 " then drag the the folder from the extracted rar folder into the " 0000000000000000 " folder so it should be have this parent list : Content/0000000000000000/434387F2/00080000/F1DDFE89B7AB645A93E17B12DA7D91588B3255A343 totalling 4 folders in total

Step 3. Load nero ..select DVD UDF Auto settings and burn it ... then load it into your xbox360..

Downloading the files now, can it be done on USB stick? Some places say DVD, some say CD.

Still confused why the Japan account does not work.

Just got done playing it abit. My first impressions are that I am utterly disappointed. :(

Visuals:
Graphics are absolutely outstanding, probably one of the best looking games this gen. Everything from the character models, lighting, textures ect. Its just a great looking game.

Controls:
The controls are still very clunky. Maybe this is an early build, but you can't move when aiming. I remember saying I liked that because thats how the old ones played. Playing RESI 5 with tank controls just felt weird. I now want my Resi 5 to control like a modern third person game.

CO-OP AI Sheeva:
*SWEARY* OFF SHEEVA. Wow, just wow. The AI for sheeva must be a joke, I've seen games that were out 10 years ago that had better AI than her. I ended up getting a game over twice in a row because she died. I hate this, I don't want to play Resi online. To me, Resi is a single player game. Oh well. There is no way in hell I can play this with the co-op AI. Gonna have to do it online, no other option.

yea, so I ain't so excited about Resi 5 anymore. :(

btw, the demo has two levels which which were showed at E3.
