**WEATHER THREAD**

I didn't make it to work today.

Got up and went to the car to set off and there were cars abandoned all over the street. Some bloke said he had been trying to get up the street for 20mins so was giving up. Thought I wont bother trying to drive then, I'll get the bus. Stood at the bus stop for ages then I get told there are none because the bus is stuck down the other end of the street and can't move.

Third plan of attack I thought, the train! I walk all the way down the train station and buy a ticket. The train was delayed three times and it was full of people all with the same idea of getting the train. Train comes finally and everyone scrambles to get on but it's too full for some of us to get it. After that I though **** this I'm not waiting another hour in the snow for a train I'm off home! :D

Tailgating in the snow AND taking a picture. Smooth. :p

Woke up on my day off, no snow at all (coastal west Fife, Scotland), so I got on my bicycle and went out for a nice wee 14 mile cycle.

Although I would like to see some snow.

Quick update. My 5" turned into 7" but it's been melting all afternoon.

Still nice to not go into work although I have worked all day. Dam computers, broadband and VNC :(

Bradford was packed in snow, must have been atleast 5" deep. Well my area anyway. I stayed out in it all day. Was fun. :D

Things will turn less settled as we move into next week, with more cold, Polar air likely to move south across the country, bringing with it the risk of further snow..

Went out to my Jeep for a smoke at 2am & the lock was frozen, Got that open & then couldn't close my door properly because the door mechanism had frozen, Didn't stop me sitting in the cold bringing my nicotine levels back up to normal though.
