Hey all,

As a child I always wanted a Blue Peter badge but never had anything interesting to send into them so never received one :(

I know this thread is a bit random but after making a comment towards this show in another thread it made me think,

Have any other members received a Blue Peter badge before and did you use it to get in anywhere free or to your advantage at all?

If you have we need pictures with bread and an explanation on how you got it,

Thanks, Sam :)

Do they still do them now? We should all enter their competitions pretending to be 7 year olds and see who can get one.

I've never watched ever watched a full programme though.

I remember a young lad from my old primary school received a proper badge because he rode around the isles on his bike for charity or something.

Son No.1 has a blue one, you know, the original, but is peed off now as he can't use it to get in anywhere free as he is over the permitted age.

Son No.2 has 2 badges - the 40th anniversary one featuring the rounded ship logo, plus the green one. He has used them loads of times to get in places, but he is just really proud of them as he earned them both.

i had one from entering one of their bike ride comps. was just a round white badge with the logo printed on :(

still, got into london zoo free :D

that show bored me, i would switch to bernards watch or zap tv. anyway what free things do you get with it?

One of the lads in my primary school got one of the gold ones. He got into The Science and Natural History Museums free, London Zoo, and probably other places. No where fun like Chessington though I think :(

why whats the permitted age? I just ask as a friend of my fella bought one off ebay thinking he'd be able to get into places free now.

I've one of them too. It was their competition badge & wasn't supposed to have the clout of a proper badge, ie no free entry.
