Xbox 360 - does a wired controller respond quicker?

I know we're probably talking in nanoseconds, but is it concievable that you have a minute advantage when using a wired controller over a wireless controller when gaming? FPS games being the most reaction sensitive.

Probably, but I doubt most people would notice it. Same thing applies to wireless mice and keyboards, I've been using wireless stuff for years and never noticed a difference in gaming.

Been playing with wired for a few weeks due to needing more batteries. Recently got the batteries and noticed no difference.

This is playing mostly shooters.

I do however notice a decrease in my tendency to trip myself up.

^Depends entirely on the mouse. Use a decent one like an MX1000 or MX Revolution and there's no lag whatsoever.

Not true. I took my MX1000 back the same day because it was a total turd.

wireless will always introdue lag, but its debatable whether you'll notice it on a pad. something like a mouse that you move in real time yes, its instantly noticable. i've always stuck to wired mice because of it

Must have been a problem with your one then, because I used one for three years without any problems. I'm on a Bluetooth MX Revolution now and it too is perfectly fine, no lag at all.

Weird, MX1000 is the best mouse I've ever used, including for gaming. It's pin sharp with everything.
