Western Digital Caviar Green Problem

Hello,

having just recieved my Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB version, i can't get it to work, i'm starting to think it is DOA. The drive is making a constant clicking static noise and it is not seen by windows.

Would you say it's Naffed?

is it seen in device manager?

clicking is never good.. DOA probably

It could be seen in BIOS before i partitioned it, but once i partitioned it i couldn't see it anymore in BIOS, it don't show up in device manager either.

I'd say it's borked. I had a weird clicking sound with one last year and it turned out to be a fault.

Yea, i'm pretty certain it's fudged, CHKDSK also giving me errors, sent a webnote for RMA.

Ive got one its fine so far. Ive got unbackedup data on it.
