When i reached 70 i was quite pleased and happy doing mundane quests and raids but 70-74 and ive just lost the will to play, the xp just never ends, a games not meant to feel like this surely ?

I am not sure what you want us to respond with?

No doubt this thread will promote the usual "wow sucks because it doesn't have lasers" or "wow sucks because my best friend sold his house, car, and now lives in a cardboard box with just his PC to play it all the time" followed by "omg lies! WOW rocks" retorts.

If you aren't enjoying it then either stop playing, or do other things rather than just leveling, explore, do instances, relax and do some professions - what ever the heck you like.

Even take a month off or something if you chose, obviously you are meant to "enjoy" the game - as it is just that a game - and a game is there to entertain.

I will say that about level 76 I was getting very frustrated with leveling as in I just wanted to be 80 (I started at 55 because I was a Death Knight) so it was worse, but I just did a lot of instances then and it made it seem a lot quicker.

I only bother playing it now when my rested is capped. Done less than 10 quests from the expansion and I am 74. Done quite a few of the 5 mans with some mates (not the related quests though).

I too lack the will to play it at the moment tbh.

I almost quit the game leveling 55-80 on my Death Knight, I just got bored and my friends were 80 already.

But, really glad I stuck with it because I'm having loads of fun now, initially thought I'd be behind somewhat but now I have uber gear and raiding often. Top stuff. :D

At around level 73 I got horrendously bored.

The major reasons most DK's stop is because they either:

1. Expect the class to be insanely over powered.
2. Don't realize / forget they have to level up all their skills, trades, get flight abilities / whatever else while their friends are (now) raiding.
3. They get to outlands after the DK quest chain, realize that the rune blade you start with is useless pretty quickly so that cool thing is gone (now you can runeforge but the weapon doesn't look so cool) and then still have to get from 58 - 80. Outlands in some areas is almost soul destroying now - especially after some of the more fun areas in North Rend.

.

I did my tradeskills in between raiding times, quite easily too. (Herb/Alch) made a fortune and got epic flyer about 2 days after, brilliant. :D

Was originally not gonna bother with tradeskills, now I find myself leveling Cooking and Fishing. :o

I did Jewel Crafting and ENchanting. I have tons of miners who give me stuff so that helps at later levels, but early on I was basically coughing up for a lot of it. Enchanting I just did for the heck of it really, I already had it on my Shadow Priest, but for some reason (which I don't know) chose it again.

I got bored at like 73/74 aswell, i had a break for a week and then leveled pretty quickly, im 60% way through level 79 now and have had double experience the whole way :)

Leveling wasn't that bad. I did take my time with the leveling though took me 8 days from release to 80 with not rushing and taking a day from leveling to do what things + i was working and didn't take time off and 1hr que's per day
Use some sort of a leveling guide as you will find it a lot easier and can basically just wonder around and complete stuff.

I think you've probably played it too much, this applies to any game.

I'm just getting it back, only because the PvE content on Warhammer is lacking though! Think I'll play WAR for PvP and WOW for PVE. Friday payday beckons :D

At the end of the day if you’re not enjoying playing something then its time to stop. Having said that if you think you’ll enjoy it again when you do get to 80 then maybe keep going, but take a break when you’re bored and make sure you only level with rested xp.

Personally I found levelling quite enjoyable, sure it was annoying to only be around 74 when some other guildies had hit 80 but overall I thought levelling was a lot better than TBC, I found TBC levelling mind numbingly boring but I thought they’d improve the quests a lot this time around.

I got bored super quickly, in fact I did not even reach 71 that I already canceled my subscription, its a shame tho cause I met plenty of people I used to play hardcore with them, but soloing Wow is really boring and to be honest, Its still the exact same game, nothing changed.

Seriosly though. When it starts to lose its fun, then its not really a game.

If you're not enjoying it any more then stop your subscription and stop playing. No point in playing if you're not enjoying it.
