Are my temps ok?

I just finished putting together my pc, can someone just check everything looks like it should and nothings overheating?

Your CPU is only running at 2ghz there mate.
Its probably intel speedstep try switching that off in the bios.

Change the multiplier to x9.5 aswell. i think its that not to sure tho mate.

I'm only pretty new at this stuff aswell mate but if you have your motherboard manual you should be fine.

It might not be speedstep it might only just be your multiplier but its underclocked as is and its normally because of speedstep.

Yep thatll be speedstep at work, turn off C1E/EIST in bios and your cpu will run at its true speed.

what motherboard you using?

If you can't find speedstep try looking for the above in the bios.

I looked in the bios and found a cpu tweaker thing, the multipler was at 8 so I put it up to 9 and this was the result in my welcome center:

The one that says 3.17Ghz used to say 2.8Ghz, have I fixed it?

Its still the exact same as first picture mate. So nothing has changed by the looks of it.
What motherboard are you using?

Not sure on this motherboard i only know asus.

But in my board there is a tweaker there which i set to manual then from there switch speedstep/C1E/EIST off if you can find it. Then change cpu's multiplier to 9/9.5 if you can and make sure you save and exit which on mine is f10.

Like i say this is on an asus board so maybe slightly different.

EDIT: Quick google search shows the speedstep to be in the advanced bios features

I keep seeing on CPU-Z that the core speed keeps jumping up to 2999.6 or so, pretty sure i still need to set the multiplyer to 9.5

EDIT: I disabled a feature which would bring down the clock under conditions, I'm now idling at 3Ghz but I can't set the multiplyer to 9.5, only 9.

at a 9.5 multiplyer that should get you to 3.16ghz(333 x 9.5).

So you managed to sort out speed step then mate to get it to 3ghz?

Yeah, where before on CPU-Z it was at 1999, it is now at 2999.8 at all times.
In the CPU tweaking section of my BIOS, the most I can go to is 9.
