Hey Phil, nice to see you on here!

Metalface,
I've been to a few LAN:Champs events, it's only a small LAN (up to ~20 people at the ones I went to) and it's something like £10 to attend IIRC - they're not making much of a profit over the rental of the place I'd imagine, I wouldn't call it a business =p

Anyone around Telford/Wolverhampton/Shrewsbury (+ that general area) should at least take a look at the website, it's a cool little event that could use a bit more support really :(

I've seen posts on here from the people who run FragM in Manchester promoting their LAN.

Yes, damn those guys :p

The impression I've got is that it's okay when it's for a LAN that is not-for-profit.

That said, the Multiplay LAN threads are also allowed. So who-knows :S

seems to be a lot of confusion on whether this is, or is not allowed either way (let the mods decide). Its a small lan that im trying to promote to people in the local west midlands type area and only been 30-45 mins or so from brum its a nice distance to travel.

We have good lan servers and a good gigabit back bone there so no lagging. Its all friendly like all lans.

Any more questions please let me know.

Phil
