Need an opinion on this leather jacket from people who wear this sort of thing...

I looked at it and immediatley thought Oasis. Not sure if thats a good or bad thing. Despite the fact that i dislike oasis the jacket is pretty damn good if u ask me...i'd pay £80 not £225 though :S.

I dont mind on the temps :) and I agree on less is more with a jacket, but I do like some functionality with it.

I have only had quick browsing at the moment on the typical sites

top man 1 top man 2

that kind of style of coat I would like but er - better quality.

Try Zara...I got a new winter coat in there a few weeks back for ~£130. Very nice coat in that sort of style, but looks less 'mac' like as its woolen on the outside.

could see everything looking good in the fitting room for about 5 minutes and then getting out into the real world and thinking "Oh my god what have I bought,

I've done that so many times, bought clothes then actually worn them and thought oh dear and they've been in the wardrobe ever since.

Yup same here, hence why i'm much more careful now. Saying that, I managed to come home the wrong size Ted Baker shirt the other day... /facepalm.

It screams pretentious **** to me, sorry.

That's ok, people not fully comfortable with themselves often think that about others. :p

I like it, will look good if it's your style, not something to be worn with cheap jeans/top though.

it's ok I hammered the sales this year... I couldn't believe what retailers were doing to get customers in, i've never seen anything like it.

Some nice ones there, they don't have hoods but don't care so much now.

Will check out zara after my curry :) river island wasn't much help. Gonna try next, envy and some others in a bit. Can anyone think of some good coat brands cos I'm not so sure.

Try this site , they have a brilliant selection , and not too bad prices

Iam looking at this one

Have had on of these types before they are a nice fit with a timeless look

This one here is also very interesting looking ( military style )

Most of the leather I have was purchased when on business in Turkey
One of the coats on that site is £700+ , I picked something very similar in turkey up for £140

River Island is only a step above the awful Top Shop, the only good things it does are the shoes, which are pretty well made. Shirts and trousers are tat.

Peter Werth make some quality jackets, as do Ted Baker (overpriced though imo).

*Hugz* :D

Good stuff, personally I can't stand the sales, everyone seems to be ****ed off with you for no reason!

I live next to Crawley, i'm used to it... ;)

I've just bought this one, http://uk.burberry.com/fcp/product/...nswear/FITTED-TRENCH/10000001405?colour=black .

It's a shame it wasn't on sale, the navy blue and olive colour are £250 cheaper, the black ones on any traditional style are never on sale.

Not only would I never buy Burberry due to the labels name being utterly tarnished by every scrote this side of the hemisphere, but that jacket is very "ordinary" looking... and black. :p

Cheers anyway though loz, i'm just a fussy bugger. :)

EDIT - LOL sorry just noticed the price, I thought you were being serious for a sec. :D
