Need an opinion on this leather jacket from people who wear this sort of thing...

I dunno any good brands/shops tbh - I come from swansea. the best shops we have are topshop, next, barker and er.... debenhams. but I live in london now so if you guys can list some brands for me to look up?
 
Ok im going to buy the jacket... otherwise it will bug me for the next month. I'm sure i'll find some way to justify it to myself if I try hard enough... *weeps*

Going to order two sizes and try both then send one back, i'll happily pay £7 return postage ot make sure I get the right fit, and it's cheaper than getting a train ticket to London to go and try stuff on anyway!

Only Zara ive been to has been in Singapore-loved the place. Shame I cant find on on the South Coast.

Like the coat, not sure about the buttons would prefer brown like you. Ive been looking at a few leather jackets, but the more shorter bomber style. Check river island and top man instore. Saw a nice one in TM about 60 I think, not sure if it was leather or not.

Out of that lot I'd go for Ben Sherman 2 although Im not a huge fan of double-breasted. The Diesel one is a no-no unless you're buying now for the summer as denim jackets aren't very practical for British Winters :)

I recently got this Ted Baker coat: http://www.tedbaker.com/shop.do?cID=662&pID=5028 although online they only have it in size uber-fat :( It's very nice, the current trend for military style but single-breasted and not OTT and imo the pics don't really do it justice. Oh, its also warm with plenty pockets :)
 
I don't think the OP Firetrap jacket is very nice either.

It's got too much going on and it doesn't look like it knows what it wants to be. It's very asymmetrical and I don't think it's going to age very well.

Firetrap = non-leather version of the jacket in the OP. I like :D

Ted Baker = Over-priced, for that money I expect better quality material, not 50% polycrap.

Ben Sherman 1 = Not bad, good price.

Ben Sherman 2 = Very nice styling, would def buy it in black.

Diesel = Kill it with fire.

ya thats pretty much what my mum said about the diesel one - and its saying something if she cant approve.

I think I will go for ben sherman number 2 and firetrap to see them and keep the one I preffer.
