i7 4.0 ??

Looks like the 190 is the limit. Or somewhere just above it. 3.8Ghz then. Probably best to work your way down from 1.4V, drop VTT the same amount each time. Maybe 1.35V vcore, 1.325v VTT. Prime again.

i just switched to 19x211 and got into windows running prime 95 worker 1,2,4 all crashed instantly with 3 still going using 1.4v anyway to work with this or no? (HT Off)

edit: closed and re ran, instant blue screen, could i try for 3.9?

Yeah absolutely, these chips flip like a switch. e.g. 194 good, 195 bad. No Idea why though. You could nudge the voltage a touch, 1.43v (1.4 VTT) HT off. 1.45v won't kill it, but its going to get hot.

ok ran for 10mins at 3.9 no issues heres the temps etc

look ok? or temps to high, hwere do i go from here? overnight test on prime 95? or dosent it need it also could i get away with any lower voltages to get lower temps. thanks

EDIT: not the lowest in that pic is not right i restarted it during a prime 95, they are idle at 41 degrees per core max.

I'd let than run a few hours, overnights good. If its solid, try a bit more baseclock, +1MHz at a time or try to drop the voltage one notch at a time. Your call, temps are ok (not great!!), you'll never see that in normal use though.

ok raised the voltage and primed for 1 hour 30 so far, still going and its still stable. is it good to call it safe yet? or is there anything else i need to do.

The general consensus is 8 hour's, don't ask me why. Its a purely subjective thing, if you're happy with it fair enough. I'm a little more rigorous, testing the memory and such, I hate corrupted files or a damaged os. I use another boot drive for benching with flaky clocks.

is there anything else i need to do to ram etc, or will it be fine with what ive done now? ive seen stuff about ram timings but i dont know what they effect or how to set them. pc is still stable after 3 hours so ill leave it here and run again when i next go out.
