which 1TB drive?

hey i dont know which one to choose anyone have any recomenations, i have these 2 so far:

Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (ST31000333AS)

and
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (WD1001FALS)

also what does OEM stand for?

But anyway, I was under the impression the OEM drives were the only ones dropping their warranty.

Thats right the OEM drives will be sold with a 3 year warranty, the thing is its OEM that people mainly buy hardly anybody buys retail boxed.

I know what you mean. I'm going for the 1TB Spinpoint F1 - wish I'd seen these suggestions before spending an hour reading reviews. Not sure if 1TB is like putting all your eggs in one basket.

It's a few quid cheaper in other places but delivery is for this Friday I hope!
So that's my New Years day sorted.
