I don't know if anyone else has noticed but at some point in the last few days we were stomped by folding@evga and Team_2ch.

The unfortunate truth is we don't stand a chance against the larger GPU enthusiast teams. The ps3 teams were giving us a bit of a scare at one point but we hit back with GPU2 points.

Maybe when those 80 core intels come out we can open a can of whoopass but at the minute the only way is down for us.

There's hundreds if not thousands of fast GPUs being used to browse these forums which could be put to good use! Problem is arousing enthusiasm, as ever...

It can be a hard sell sometimes when people wont have a little faith. A lot of people see it as a shot in the dark and when they ask for evidence/results they get pointed in the direction of a lot of scientific papers no one understands.

I think as soon as we have a definitive "We have cured X, now help us cure Y" the floodgates will open.

The thing is, we probably aren't going to, at least not in the next 5 years or so, personally i think the Alzheimer's drug potential is fantastic and that should really be prioritized to recruit new donors.

what happened to the super computer that was run @ OCuk HQ surely turning that on again will help us not to lose places quite so fast ( Possibly save on the heating bill there as well )

and its not like 8800 gts cards grow on tree's anymore either
a quick check on OCuk shop tells me the cheapest a folding box can be made for is £250 without looking for second hand parts
