Invalid, it was an example not a comparison. It was an example of a precedent in history, not a comparison between Hamas and National Socialism.

The london bombers were justified by the fact 'we' voted for Labour and their war on iraq then I suppose? :/
If they had attacked some military or even government target, or perhaps anything even remotely related to the war in Iraq then perhaps. You may notice that the Israelis haven't bombed any buses yet.

Erm, not quite! In fact, you'd likely find a lot of people who'd say that Israel is carrying out actions that disturbingly resemble those of the perpetrators of the holocaust.
Apart from the whole shoveling 12 million people into gas chambers and other forms of execution.

And made them wear the crescent on their clothes, while forcing millions to work in slave labour war production. They also banned their religion, made it illegal for Muslims to own property in Israel or marry Jews or run a business.
Also, they have banned all political parties other than the ruling one, murdered all communists, homosexuals and romanies that they got their hands on, banned negro music, killed 20 million Syrians and Egyptians in the 1973 war, formed an army out of their biggest political party that murdered their way through the middle east as far as Iraq and Morrocco and invaded neutral countries that had no competing territorial claims.

This is what I find hardest to stomach about the situation also.
It is a bit of an overreaction, isn't it? I also wouldn't have expected a country like Israel to simply retort 'NO' to pretty much every other country on the planet's pleas to give it a rest.
Then you have the comment article on BBC news - where the BBC took the perspective of one Palestinian and one Israeli. The Palestinian says how the children are dying and those who survive will have to live with the trauma for the rest of their lives - while the Israeli glibly says what is happening in Gaza is 'fantastic' because 'my roof has been severely damaged'. I kid you not.
