Anyone seen the new Laguna Coupe in the flesh?

Just seen the ad for it and it made it look very Aston like.

Have Renault found another new and exciting way to get this one to set itself on fire yet? The mk1's firewall burned and then they got the screen drain to within an inch of the fuse box on the RHD models, causing several issues, including...burning!

Having seen the new Mondeo for the first time last week I couldn't help but think that the rear looked like the older Laguna.

Like I said, in the advert the angles made it look very aston like, not that the car was aston like

Quaterlights are completely different
Rear screen is different shape
Roofline is different
Rear is completely different
Vantage looks much lower, Laguna much more "high sided".

There are quite obviously design cues taken from the Aston. It doesn't look too bad apart from the stupid frog eyes on the headlights and the Renault badge.

That is definitely an Aston Martin Laguna Coupe. It looks really nice though
