Loved this game a few years ago, its what got me into gaming :p

Thinking of whacking it on again, anyone still play it? Used to love the fantastic firefights, and gaining stats, weapons etc :)

Yeah I played this, also played Joint Operations: Typhoon Raising. It used the same engine and had 100+ people per server multiplayer, some crazy fights with tracers flying everywhere. Was my main game before battlefield 2 came out.

Me and my mate used to hide in the bushes with binoculars spotting enemy snipers, then with the granade launchers ajustable sights you could pick them off from 700m away :).

Used to love bhd, got joint ops and the escalation expansion here, but havent played them in ages. Used to love planting satchel charges in the grass near roads and waiting for enemy personnel carriers to drive past, also great games for sniping in.

Ambushes were a fav of mine as well, picking the SAS skin and doing hit and run tactics and, like you said, satchel charges on the road :).

Fun game with a nice amount of different weapons.

What ever happend to Novalogic? Did they go under?

Not sure. Used to like their delta force games. I remember playing the demo of one of them where it involved you taking out enemies from afar on a ridge somewhere. I sat there for 5 minutes shooting dots on my screen :p They weren't amazing but they were good for their time

Black Hawk Down was so fun. Never played MP but SP was awesome. I loved the fact you could run at normal speed whilst aiming as it felt more like a real special forces soldier; you won't see them taking a building slowly and aiming, or quickly and firing from the hip! The one hit kill was nice as well made it more fast paced.

The expansion pack was hard!

damn it was, i completed the orignal sp quite easily but expansion was challenging, not even sure if i finished it

i still play DF2 to thsi day my squad Muz/Faz has just passed its 10yr anniversary :)

That is quite an achievment imo

We had several squads throughout the DF series

Viper Squadron (Original DFHQ) owned by Panther Now called http://www.novahq.net/
Grave Raiders
And Team FRICTION
Good old days i must say, gaming isnt the same now or maybe im just getting old.

I just installed Joint Operations for the first time in years but for some reason it's not letting me chose a resolution over 1280x768 or something...
Is it possible to get it to play at 1920x1080?
