Your most hated car? (spit!)

Aaargh hard to pick:

I guess nr1 hate is Opel Corsa... Mark one not that much ( VH nova, think it's nicer than the mk2 actually ) but the MK2 is terrible. Like a bloody pig on wheels.

Other ****'s are:

Ford Ka
Relault Twingo
Fiat Panda
Chev. Matiz
Nissan Micra
Fiat 126p
Fiat Cinquecento
Pug 1007
VW Lupo
Smarts, all 3 of them, fortwo is the worst though. Roadster and forfour are still ****.
Hyundai Tico.
90% of the remaining city cars and compact cars.

All imo of course :). All cars I named that make Europe a disgrace. Europeans should look @ the US for proper (sized) cars. imo...

Rover 25 - needlessly cramped, badly built by a bunch of work-shy Brummies, ancient design (bits of it are exactly the same as the '89 Rover 200 series). The Chinese now have the rights to the design, and aren't building it....that must say something....

Oh, and then there's the incredibly pointless Rover 25 'Streetwise'. A Rover 25 with the suspension jacked up and chunkier bumpers nailed to each end. Fabulous. I'd have loved to be at the meeting where they decided to produce that, just to see if it's possible to slap some sense into a person with a piece of 2x4.

I won't allow any Multipla dissin'! They're awesome :D

The car I hate the most probably, is the Vauxhall Zafira. Awful ergonomics, awful controls (pedals, steering, gearbox), utterly appalling handling to the point of being dangerous and not willing to take a corner faster than 10mph, awful build quality - when I picked up my boss in the hire car I had, he got in and handed me a huge chunk of plastic trim that had fallen off from somewhere near the passenger seat! The engine in this one (1.6 petrol) was woefully, again almost dangerously underpowered. It was slow enough with just me in the car, I dread to think what it's like when it's used how it's designed, i.e. 5 up with a load of luggage? :-\

Horrible, hateful car. It wasn't even comfortable on long cruises, at least I can say that about the Vectra - it's a good motorway car.

Not really a car as such but those Mitsubishi L200 things, for some reason I'm convinced they're all owned by tax dodgers because they want a commercial vehicle but can't bear to be assosciated with driving a van. Plus the majority of the time they seem to be driven by chumps.

Oh and of course the prius, for basically the reasons outlined above.

Current range of BMW's, still can get over the looks im afraid, absolutely fantastic engineering, but that flame design is something is still something I havent warmed to.

Oh and the Vauxhall Meriva, I just cant see why people buy something like this over a normal hatchback.

To drive: ... the Mk1 Mondeo with the heated front windscreen.

Does the heated front windscreen make the car bad to drive? :D

Oh, and the standard tanks that mums drive to school to protect little 5 yr old Jimmy... ie Landcruiser Amazon VX, X5, Shogun. Great vehicles, but laughably inappropriate for people who don't know how to drive them or how big they are, trying to manouevre around the school gates at 3pm.

Prodder Nippa. Especially morons who drive yellow ones festooned with cuddly toys.

Then BMW X5 for general noveau-riche naffness.

mid-late 90s merc saloons..

Always cut people up on motorways and drive like complete ....s.

Prius just because I can't stand everything they represent.

Tough choice between:

- BMW 1-Series - hateful cramped car which looks like a shoe. Just bought by people for the badge

- Toyota Prius - awful car that's just bought because people think it's 'green' (which it isn't BTW)

- Vauxhall Corsa - all are dreadful apart from the most recent shape which is much improved IMO

The winner is... Toyota Prius

BMW's. i love the M3... but they always seem to be driven by complete tools.

apologies for the generalisation, but it is only my personal experience.

BMW 1-Series has got to be up there, ugly things for people who can't afford a decent car but must have a good brand over substance.

yeh, the 123d, 130i and 135i are really really cheap, **** cars.

even the lowly models are ~£20k..

Ok I rarely post in Motors (if ever) and after seeing a lot of hate for the Multipla (of which my wife is the proud owner) I wanted to jump in to defend it...but I can't, it's a heap of **** :D

That said, it's handy for carting people around in due to three full seats in the front but for the amount we've had to spend on it in the last 2 years we could have hired a streched limo.
