Would you drink more if beer was that cheap everywhere?

I'd maybe consume a little more than my current couple of pints once a month but I'd be tempted to say that given the current state of our so called 'drunk' culture that cost has already been proven to have little to no effect on volume consumed by the vast majority of drinkers.

not at all, I drink when I want to rather that by what the cost is.

I rarely drink anyway, just when people are going to the pub for a couple and I join them.

Also - I think this is a bad idea, lots of people drink too much already and some people get really violent or unreasonable when drunk.

No i wouldnt drink more because its cheaper, it would just mean when i do go out its a cheaper night

Volume per session probably not... but I'd probably go out more and make use of it.

I wouldn't drink any more or any less... I take out stupid amounts of money for a night out thinking about it, so it would actually help me during the current economic climate and not encourage me to damage myself or others by drinking silly amounts.

Same here, but then again it might mean I drink out rather than at home with friends meaning my overall consumption would be about the same.

Definitely would change what I drank. In fact a lowering of prices might be enough for me to tell people to meet in the pub before clubbing rather than drinking around a friends. Now if clubs reduced their prices (especially in central london) not THAT would make a difference.

Not at all. Never really go out drinking although I may suggest it to some work colleagues as I like IPA and wouldn't mind having a cheap pint.

OT but I once walked in a pub in Prague and it was completely Pink Floyd themed, music playing, framed pictures of them covering every square inch of the walls, massive merchandise items pinned to the stairs and walls, it was like a shrine.

Its only 1 type of beer thats gone down to 99p a pint according to my sister and San Miguel bottles are being sold cheap as well.
