*** Official Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Thread***

The Godless have just reformed on Karak Azgal as the good guys.

Give Imelda, Angmoh or Explosivo a shout if you like :)

I decided on a change so left my witch elf and rolled a Knight of the Blazing Sun. Got him level 6 so far but yet to see any Godless on. My chars name is Rygor if you see me about.

Righto, I know they were reformed just as Pumpkinstew went away for a few days, I play WoW so I'm not online to help I'm afraid.

You could stick a message up here if you like :)

Make sure you mention which game, we have a few on the go...and we're all a bit simple.

If your Order on K8P server, then im with Gober in his guild. Going well, level 20 guild with own cloak design, decent numbers on line, not counting xmas time of course lol.

Decent amount of people with skills to match, most of us have come from other games so we get some good banter and help.

Bah Jestar!
Must admit I play much less now, but after playing the latest WoW addon I can honestly say I might be moving on from MMOs for good, finally, after many years of trying :P

GTA4 + real life = winz !

Ha! I'm addicted to DAoC (freeshards) again, despite not being in a guild or anything, infact it's hard work just getting a group but during the evenings it is zergalicious, and at weekends can sometimes get a group together from some agra runs, and if I am even more lucky, we don't get pwned everytime.

After not playing for 2ish months I've been sucked back in. Latest changes are fantastic, esp the inf for oRvR. I've just managed to get my full T2 inf set:

and with +tough talismans PvP is awesome right now.

Armour looks very nice , is that the obliterator set?

I had the obliterator at lvl17 (3 pieces) and tbh it doesn't look too great. It's got much better stats than other gear you'd get at that level though. The set in the pic is the KotBS inf gear. I maxed oRvR inf in each pairing and so have all 8 pieces (the weapon is repeated with dif stats it seems)/

As a newb to WAR, I don't really know much about it.

Their never seems to be anyone doing PQ's so it's pretty hard to get gear... and I'm on Karak-Hirn which is quite well populated.

Is their any other way to get gear when leveling up?

Thanks.

I've got the full Decimator with my WP, just need a bit more renown so I can wear the Helm/Chest I got from Keeps...

I love the class - decent enough DPS to quest, and get some decent STR gear, and the returns from Devine Assault are crazy. Teamed with an Ironbreaker, he's practially invincible.
Only downside is, in RvR/Scenario's, if you go to the front line you get focus-fired down instantly, so you end up staying near the back, book in hand.

Gamer_Dude - I've found if there isn't anyone doing PQ's, put a shout out for the Chapter your after. You usually get at least one person reply, and once you've got a small group together, people start to join fairly quickly.
If you can manage it too, do the "Hard" PQ's. Good chance a gold bag will drop at the end.

K8P - its very Destro heavy, isn't it?

I've got my WP on Azgal, and in T3 Order have the advantage, in that we usually own the majority of the keeps, but there's always one to take.

On K8P, I've just levelled my Engineer to 13, and we're just getting panned. Every keep we try to take, there's a WB of Destro waiting to kick us in the nuts. Tonight, on our 4th attempt we managed to zerg a keep, and have just spent the last 90 minutes desperately defending against what seems like entire servers Destro population...they really want this keep back!

Finding it tough motivating myself to login now, just not enough depth to the game, it's either goto a raid or do a quest. Just isn't that spark or incentive, dunno, i feel like i know what every area looks like without even seeing it, feels small.

I've got back into this a bit now, started a runepriest up and found a decent guild. I love healing in scenarios / rvr, am looking forward to some proper pve dungeons too. As its so slow to kill stuff with a heal spec healer i've gone the scerio route to level mostly, which is something you just cant do in other games. You have to grind PvE to level, i like the way i have 3 options to do things and they all have their own individual rewards as well as giving xp.

Scenarios are the death of WAR :> Why partake in meaningful RvR (which is the primary appeal of the game) when you can just join scenarios.

I have no incentive to do keep raids at all, once you done one, you've done them all. It's not as if anyone can claim one either, 6g per hour? You would need a guild, with an ACTIVE membership of 100's surely to keep that up with normal taxes, unless you set tax to say, UK tax, 20% of earnings maybe.

Then you need around the clock, an active playerbase to defend the thing.

Scenario's are there to level up, but i don't see any 'need' to level up, no place i want or need to go. It's a huge problem with this game that they don't have any goals other than tome unlocks, which are purely bragging rights to anyone who cares.

Scenarios are 12 vs 12, RvR is much more than that with larger play areas and open to more tactics. They both have their place and on my server both are pretty active.

As far as i know costs for keeps are coming down significantly soon.
