I just noticed that Quake Wars is only £12 on steam.

Is it worth picking it up?

tbh I liked playing the Beta when it was out, then bought the game and only liked the levels that were in the Beta...

right well ive just played a round or two, and well its still pretty damm fun

but gunna take a bit of getting used to, know what class and do what and all the controls

I enjoyed it at first and then got bored, the infantry and all the vehicles just didn't blend very well I thought, it takes silly hits to kill someone with a normal infantry weapon.

Played the beta which was fun but never bought the game officially and I too saw it at game shops selling it for really low prices so I thought maybe it wasn't THAT good a game afterall, I'll be looking forward to the rumoured castle wolfenstein 2 though

it's ok, but the lack of maps (and that some of the maps are pap) lets it down

It's a brilliant game, although I've not seen any maps aside form the ones that come with the game.

Meh, is what I though. Magazines hyped it up, looked great but when it came to playing it all I could think was meh :/
