Whistler here I come

I came into this thread thinking somebody had bumped a thread from 2000 and moved it from the Windows forum

Bumped a thread pre-nuke? No one has that power.. not even Spie..

Spent a few hours today waxing my skis. I'm taking 2 pairs - one for the groomers and a fatter pair for powder. Mrs Spie is taking her "1 pair for all occasions".

I came in here expecting a thread about you going to meet Kris Kristofferson? ;)

Sounds good though, enjoy yourself. :)

The black and double-black diamonds at Whistler are lots of fun. Nighlife isn't bad either :D

Lucky swine! I hope to go skiing this year if I'm lucky, but who knows!

Very envious! Have a great time.

should have done snowboarding to be honest - although being a computer geek I can understand not being able to 'fit in' :p
I'm heading to Lake Tahoe in about 4-5weeks :D

Sounds cool, i've never been skiing however i was looking quite deeply into booking a trip for this month and it just fell through :(

Definatly something i will be doing in the not so distant future :)

edit: non santa hat smilies look ghey

Passed through Whistler this summer and did a spot of mountain biking. I'd love to go back in the winter sometime.

I've had my ski trip for the year though, an awesome week in Val Thorens before Christmas.

Just got back from a week in Whistler on Christmas eve. It was -25C at the top which was too cold to really enjoy anything. It was -13C just in the village. Had a wicked time, but my girlfriend did get tobogganed of the mountain by mountain rescue after a bad fall. Handing over $1200 on x-rays at the medical centre wasn't much fun!

Have fun :)
Funny you should mention skiing, its only been tonight i have been parading around the house in my boots making sure there still ok.

Only off to Bulgaria this year, however we find it is one of the most fun places to go - have also done places such as Austria and Andorra, and found Bulgaria just as good.

Que?! Insurance man!

We had insurance and the claim has been posted now, so I should get the money back, but you still have to hand over the cash in the hospital. $1200 made a pretty large dent in the remaining budget after 3 months of traveling.
