Holy cow the other Denilson is 31 now? I remember when everybody was making so much fuss about him years ago.

And then, err, nothing happened.

Agreed but tbh he can **** off if he thinks we are going to pay 26m and 120k a week, thats just silly money :/

Well, Rooney is on £120k apparently, so it's fair enough in that respect (although still too much I agree), although claims are that he's not after that much.
The £26m fee was pre-agreed, the negative is we've just paid £31m for Berbatov and £19m for Anderson etc... so £26m seems a fair fee.

I said time and time again that one of Rooney, Tevez or Berba would not stick it out. People kept drawing up line ups with all three in the line up. People wouldn't listen that there was no way you could take on the premiership with Rooney Ronaldo Tevez and Berba in the same lineup.

Not everyone ;).

if Hyppia if leaving I'd like toon to snap him up, yes he's ageing but will be better than some on the tat we have

Other than that the Toon transfer gossip is boring

A bit off topic but seeing as Stoke are trying to get Marlon Harewood, I recall saying how 6m was far too much for Dave Kitson, a few people jumped down my throat for mentioning such a thing. As he even scored in the Prem, or even for Stoke this season?!

Not sure he has played that much

Tevez has only been at the club two seasons (by the time any agreement will be signed - why should he be paid as much as someone who has been at OT for double that (admittedly Im not sure how many times Rooney has re-negotiated / re-signed but its at least one extention to the original contract)

(Im not sure anyone should be on £120k a week, but loyalty over a number of years has to be shown before anyone should be on anything like that)

Utd havent JUST paid £19m for Anderson - Im sure there was a large initial fee during the original transfer.

What do you think Berbatov is on btw?

I wouldnt have a clue - but I would hope (well) under £100k/week - after all the fact he is joining a successful team should be payment enough (yeah right :D)

Believe he is. After all, you wouldnt pay £32 million for a player and give him £60k a week. Hes probably on £120K ish

Wigan's England striker Emile Heskey is poised to rejoin Premier League title-chasers Liverpool later this month with boss Rafa Benitez set to make an offer of around £4m to land the player. (1227, Manchester Evening News)

Interesting, I personally would love Heskey back. I think he would be a perfect partner for Torres. I can really see Keano being sold in the summer aswell.

Heskey's not a player any team hoping to win the Premiership should be looking to sign. We've already one work horse and we don't need another, especially not that lump.

If the 14.5 million offer for Downing is correct then I'm struggling to work out who's the craziest, Boro for not biting the spuds hands off, or spurs for being so stupid as to offer it.

LOAM

I thought that was what Tevez is presently on

http://www.goal.com/en/news/1710/ma...anchester-united-irked-by-tevezs-wage-demands

The Red Devils have reportedly offered the Argentine forward, who is nearing the end of his two-year loan from Media Sports Investment (MSI), £80,000-per-week.

Thats where I got it from. Whether its true or not I don't know as I'm not aware of what Man United are spending on wages.

Doubt this has any significance to anything, but I'll tell you anyway. My brother has just flown to Amsterdam and shared the flight with.... Roque Santa Cruz and his 'spicy' girlfriend.
