No its actually very clear on both Google and Live maps. I believe only a few Dutch Military bases are actually censored but not much else.

Quite a few military places only have satellite images (which they can;t control), as they don't allow **** photos taken though like most of the detailed parts of google earth.

Yeah, Area 51 is clearly visible. I don't think they're too bothered really. I mean, I went right up to the sign that says 'photography prohibited' and took pics (security watching on the hill).

I don't know the person who did it, but supposedly it was someone 2/3 years above me. It was done during night at half term afaik. Apparently it was someone who wasn't the 'type' to do it, but did it as 'up yours' to the school kind of way.

I was in the Sixth Form when it appeared on Google Earth, it also made one of the tabloids, the Sun I think.
