Google Earth - LOL Edition

I believe only a few Dutch Military bases are actually censored but not much else.

Quite a few military places only have satellite images (which they can;t control), as they don't allow **** photos taken though like most of the detailed parts of google earth.

Yeah, Area 51 is clearly visible. I don't think they're too bothered really. I mean, I went right up to the sign that says 'photography prohibited' and took pics (security watching on the hill). :p

Is Google street even live yet in the UK? on my Iphone I can get just American and some other places, about it.

the camera car drove up my road in September when i was washing my car. I cant wait to see my confused look on the net... :p

No its actually very clear on both Google and Live maps. I believe only a few Dutch Military bases are actually censored but not much else.

A spanish airbase in the canaries is blacked out too.

I should be on google street (when its up in the UK) in my nissan micra while driving home not far from my house hahah, got abit confused seeing a car driving with a big black thing on top of a pole past me then thought ahhh google :D this was awhile ago though.

I should be on it unfortunately, walking on a pavement next to a road and one of thier vehicles drove past. I only wish I were wearing a chicken suit that day :(

Ah good old Yarm school. There's a rumour that a guy I know did that, I wouldn't put it past him, but these things always end up with a 'You'll never guess who did it!' rumour.

'What did you do in your free period?'
'Oh not much, just drew a massive pork sword on the roof...'

I don't know the person who did it, but supposedly it was someone 2/3 years above me. It was done during night at half term afaik. Apparently it was someone who wasn't the 'type' to do it, but did it as 'up yours' to the school kind of way.

I was in the Sixth Form when it appeared on Google Earth, it also made one of the tabloids, the Sun I think.
