How long, have all the single people on here, been single? Fast approaching five years. Didn't plan on it, just sort of happened.

Almost a year today.
For me the fear of rejection far outweighs the chance of anything positive coming out of making the first move
I have loads of girl mates and am quite comfortable around women that I don't fancy. As soon as I find someone I like, however, my brain explodes. I find alcohol (Dutch courage) helps though
The other issue I have is that when I start seeing someone, I get panicky about losing my freedom and worry about not being able to do what I want without getting grief. I'm just a bit selfish I guess.

I dumped my ex becuase she was pyscho, and i was very unhappy in that realtionship, but for some strange reason im still in love with her. I also hate her at the same time, as i found out (by asking her) after we split up if she cheated on me and she had!

Been single for 2 years now and I must say its been great. Ive done things Ive always wanted to do and had the best year ever in 2008. I find it costs a lot more being single though!

I've been single for the better part of a year now, there have been a few "trysts" in that period however for the better part i've been relativly happy.
My last relationship involved me moving to Wales as well as an unplanned pregnancy, it all turned out, to say the least, not how i expected it. I love my daughter to peices and see her as regularly as I can but the emotional fallout from this whole shenanigan makes me fairly lethargic when it comes to finding a new relationship.
Despite the less regular sex I must admit to actually being fairly happy in my singleness atm.
