My q9550 @ 3.8ghz 1.3vcore(bios) 1.23(windows) max temsp 72-70-68-69 during prime

or

stock volts 3.6ghz and max temps 60-57-56-58

is the extra 200mhz worth the extra volts and heat??

Id save the 3.8ghz profile in bios incase you want to do a few bench runs, then run the system @3.6ghz for daily use, your unlikely to hit the sort of temps you get in p95 load in everyday tasks.:)

if your getting those temps running prime then you best stick to the lower clock speed, running something like intel burntest would hammer those temps over the 80c mark and possibly show instability.
