What really grinds your gears?

Royal Mail/Couriers not being able to use the simple buzzing system in my block of flats. I can be in all day and then find a 'we missed you' card in my mailbox.

Men who wear their jeans under their bum so you can see their boxers and cheeks in all their glory. Really not necessary.

People who tailgate me when driving even though i'm doing the speed limit. It's a limit for a reason, I know of too many people hurt on the roads for it to be worth just ignoring it.

Terrorits, darn they can be annoying.

People who try to force their religion on me.

People who run up to me when i'm walking along the road trying to sell me something by engaging in light, topical conversation first. Get to the point!

I think that's it for now.

People that whine, and yet do nothing to help themselves.
People that believe they are right, despite the fact you show them evidence to show they are, infact wrong.
People which can't grasp something reasonably simple - despite the fact you have explained it clearly.
Public transport.
Violence towards women
People who don't like to learn anything, and would rather have a "I don't need to know that, because it doesn't help me directly" attitude, so have a narrow mind.
People that blame the USA, or whatever country or person they can for whatever problem their every day life is having.
Rude people.

People who use "like" or "d'ya know what I mean" repeatedly in sentences.

People who can't ******* indicate when driving and/or have no spacial awareness or awareness full stop when driving.

People that cannot follow simple instructions
People that constantly act childish as if its funny
Lack of professionalism
Being TOLD to do something, I don't need to be told, just asked
People who get in a stress over absolutely nothing
People who walk slow in the street
People who say "innit" "bruv" and "safe"

That's all for now but there are MANY more

Mrbios actually added some right there.

People who destroy the English language.
People who feel the need to tell you to do something, especially the blatantly obvious.
And the childish thing as well.

And those are only the things that have annoyed me in the past 30minutes ;)

Parents who go shopping with children when they could do it online. Retard postmen who deliver to the wrong address.

I also hate people that walk slow, drives me mad.

Also fat people who eat lots and do no physical exercise then moan as if it is not their fault.

Something new: Pay toliets in bus and train stations!

Now i dont really like not paying for public services (pretty much stealing) but paying to go to the toilet (especially when your feeling pretty ill) is more of a crime than not paying the 30p, which is paramount to extortion!

People that ask you to help them out with something at work that then proceed to write some text messages whilst you're explaining something to them.

People that can't read/follow signs (for example, at the swimming pool "NO shoes allowed beyond this point").

People that complain about the speed camera charges - If you don't like them, DON'T SPEED!

Tailgaiting. Why....WHY do some people think they are sooooo badass cuz they can drive behind you at 70mph 2.5mm from your rear bumper. I wish nothing but ill health on these people who endanger the rest of us.

weird that

because what grinds my gears is people who sit in the outside lane at 70 when the other 2 lanes are empty

i still dont tailgate mind but it really wees me off

My what a fun life you must lead. Try to be more tolerant it makes life easier and less stressful.

I find it incredibly difficult to be tolerant of incompetence, I'm a bit of a perfectionist in the things I do, so when someone is doing the same task as me and doing it all wrong I get very irritated

How do I learn to be more tolerant? I've always been a very low tolerance kind of person (very....VERY low)

Remember that not everyone has the same abilities as you. Allow the annoyances to flow over you. Perhaps give them a few pointers as to where they are going wrong. I have to agree with the language bit of your post. English is getting littered with many "Americanisms" and childlike "gangsta talk" these days. I simply rise above this myself and do not use them. Perhaps point out to the person using them, that it is wrong, if that makes you feel better. Sometimes I feel like teenagers are talking another language.
