I have a pet Chille Rose tarantula, ive had it for about 11 years now! I had Imperial scorpions before that, but they were adults when i got them and only lived a few years.
 
Whilst they're interesting to look at I don't really understand why you'd want these as pets.

Lovely looking creatures though
 
Always been fascinated by spiders but have a complete phobia of them too. Bit of an odd combo really. Glad I live nowhere near Cannock :)
 
just out of interest if one of the spiders escaped into the wild woould it beable to survive or are the conditions here to harsh?
Do you have to have any special license to keep such things?

Seriously though, there is no way I could sleep at night with them in my house!
 
Do you have bigger closeups of that Pink Toe? I stole one of the images from the spider thread as my background at work for giggles, but figure an update would be great.
