Mirrors Edge

Just informing, anyone who got the free coupons for Mirrors Edge, you can now download and play it on EA Download Manager (at least, i can !) :).
 
And if you have an nVidia card and use PhysX remember to patch it else you will get a random crash with PhysX enabled!
 
I found that i had to disable PhysX as it just made too much of a hit on the frame rate, im talking single digits in some areas (this is with all the latest drivers and patch installed). Bit disapointed there but the game is great anyway :).
 
I'm looking forward to getting this when it comes out, should be a good bit of fun and nicely different to the other games I am playing at the moment.
 
looks pretty darn cool, but EA will be damned if they're having any of my money.

Apart from Japan, the UK is the only region were all the new EA releases aren't on Steam.. they don't want my money, they won't get my money!

what card are you running it on ?
 
GTX260 (216) here.

It's weird because there should not be a 10-15fps hit or more on this game since the physics are only a few extra piece of glass effects and cloth here and there - not much else.

Cryostasis by comparison has a world of physics and the water etc and that has a constant average fps with it enabled.
 
Just don't turn PhysX on:p it's 50-60fps constant then and that's with 8xfsaa at 1920x1200 max settings :)
 
is it any good mrk ?
it looks "fresh and clean" on the clips and images
whats the actual gameplay like ?
do u have latest drivers and physx drivers installed ?
 
I'm running it with a Q6600 @ 3.6 and a 8800GTS 512. 1440x900 On max, 8xQA.

Not seeing it drop from 60fps :)
